Memorial Day goslings and chicks

We have more goslings hatching today at Thiry Farm!

These little guys were incubated under a broody Buff Orpington hen named Scrambles.

Scrambles is in a dog crate in the coop to prevent the other hens from bothering her while she’s broody.

She did a great job, so when we removed the eggs to the incubator for hatching, we replaced them with a couple of chicks from the feed store to give Scrambles something to mother.

She’s doing a great job!

If you are interested in purchasing Pilgrim goslings, email us at thiryfarm@gmail.com or catch up with us next Saturday (June 3) at the livestock auction in Hillsdale, Michigan.

This is a whole new character for me, and I have be following right along. I happy for your success with your fine feathered friends. No doubt, you are on a first name basis at the feed store. That is a good place to be.

I don’t know if a gratuitous animal video will get this thread started, but, let’s try.

    Let’s try another animal video.

I think that this is the first in a series.
